The final round of the RAF-SMP Racing Karting Academy took place on 13-15 September in Eupatoria at the Crimea GP track.
The track is not easy with many difficult turns and fast chicanes. The participants of the final round of the RAF-SMP Racing Academy and the Russian Karting Championships have successfully learnt the track and took part in the exciting races.
Matvey Dergunov from Chelyabinsk was quickest among all participants, followed by Anatoly Agapov and Alexander Ponomarev in the Micro class. After competitions every young driver was awarded with a medal and the first five drivers with special trophies.
Matvey Dergunov was also announced as the winner of the RAF-SMP Racing Academy season and was awarded with a new Formula K chassis of the Mini class to help him progress in his racing career. Dmitry Matrenin (Vladivostok) and Anatoly Agapov (Ramenskoe, Moscow region) were classified second and third, respectively.
SMP Racing driver Alexey Basov, who works as a mentor of the RAF-SMP Racing Academy and gives valuable advice to young drivers, has awarded the prizes to the winners.
